FAQ

Du hast ja bereits ins Trollsystem gefunden, der erste Schitt ist also schon getan!
Komm am Besten erstmal zum Trolldesk. Dort markieren wir dich als angekommen und erklären dir, wie alles funktioniert.
Generell kannst du dich unter Schichten in Schichten eintragen, die du machen willst. Die Schichten haben alle eine Beschreibung und einen Ort. Die Beschreibung erklärt, was du tun musst und kurz vor Beginn gehst du zum Ort, der in der Schicht steht.

Es wird auf der Veranstaltung nach dem Opening Talk eine Einführung ins Trollen geben. Da wird das Trollen und das Trollsystem erklärt. Komm gerne vorbei :)

You have already found your way into the Trollsystem, so the first step has already been taken!
It's best to come to the troll desk first. There we will mark you as arrived and explain how everything works.
In general, you can sign up for the shifts you want to do at Shifts. The shifts all have a description and a location. The description explains what you have to do and shortly before the start of the shift you go to the location that is in the shift description.

There will be an introduction to trolling at the event after the opening talk. There the trolling and the troll system will be explained. Feel free to drop by :)

Die GPN wird komplett von Freiwilligen organisiert. Das heißt, das vom Tschunk bis zum Gulasch alles selbst gemacht wird.
Das ist ganz schön viel Arbeit, und deswegen brauchen wir deine Hilfe! Denn ohne Helfende kann das Event nicht stattfinden.

Außerdem ist das Trollen eine super Möglichkeit, neue Leute kennen zu lernen und neue Sachen zu lernen. Das heißt besonders ohne GPN-Erfahrung kannst du helfen und dabei das Event und die Leute kennenlernen.

The GPN is organized entirely by volunteers. This means that everything from the Tschunk to the goulash is made by volunteers.
That's a lot of work, and that's why we need your help! Because without helpers, the event cannot take place.

Besides, trolling is a great way to meet new people and learn new things. This means that especially without GPN experience you can help and get to know the event and the people.

Ein Troll ist (bei uns) eine Person, die auf der Gulaschprogrammiernacht hilft.

A troll (for us) is a person who volunteers at the Gulaschprogrammiernacht.

Es gibt sehr viele Möglichkeiten, auf der GPN zu helfen. Zum Beispiel an der Bar Getränke ausgeben oder Tschunk machen, am Infodesk Fragen beantworten, Gulasch kochen und vieles mehr!

There are many opportunities to help out at the GPN. For example, serving drinks at the bar or making Tschunk, answering questions at the info desk, cooking goulash and much more!

Ganz generell ist es gut, wenn du ein Lanyard mitbringst, an dem du deine Badge befestigen kannst. Es wird auch vor Ort welche geben, aber irgendwann haben alle eine stetig wachsende Sammlung an Lanyards zuhause, das muss nicht sein. Du kannst deine Sammlung auch gerne mitbringen und uns spenden, dann freut sich ein anderes Wesen über dein Lanyard.
Wir bitten darum, ein DECT Telefon mitzubringen. Falls du keines hast, geht es auch ohne, aber mit ist es deutlich einfacher.

It is generally a good idea to bring a lanyard to which you can attach your badge. There will also be some on site, but at some point everyone will have an ever-growing collection of lanyards at home, it doesn't have to be that way. You are also welcome to bring your collection with you and donate it to us, then another creature will be happy about your lanyard.
We ask that you bring a DECT phone with you. If you don't have one, you can do without, but it's much easier with one.

Prinzipiell alle!
Viele Schichten können mit dem Trolltyp "Troll" oder anderen Trolltypen, bei denen du einfach selbst Mitglied werden kannst. Diese Schichten sind für alle und benötigen kein Vorwissen.
Für Schichten, für deren Trolltyp du erst bestätigt werden musst (die eine Einführung benötigen), gibt es entweder Infos, die du vor deiner Schicht brauchst (diese bekommst du bei einem Treffen) oder erfordern Vorwissen oder gewisse Fähigkeiten, die in einem Treffen bestätigt werden (zum Beispiel medizinisches Vorwissen für das CERT).

Dein erstes Mal auf der GPN? Trollen ist auch eine super Möglichkeit neue Leute und das Event kennenzulernen!

In general, everybody! Many shifts can be created with the troll type "Troll" or other troll types, where you can add yourself as a member. These shifts are for everyone and require no prior knowledge.
For shifts where you need to be confirmed for the troll type first (need an introduction), there is either information you need before your shift (you will receive this at a meeting) or require prior knowledge or certain skills that are confirmed in a meeting (for example, prior medical knowledge for the CERT).

Is it your first time at GPN? Trolling is also a great way to meet new people and get to know the event!

Kurz vor der GPN werden Termine in Treffen veröffentlicht, an denen die Einführung durchgeführt wird. Wenn du daran teilnimmst, wirst du für diesen Trolltyp freigeschaltet und kannst dich dann für Schichten mit diesem Trolltyp eintragen.
Für manche Trolltypen brauchst du auch zusätzliches Vorwissen, das steht dann in der Beschreibung.
Es gibt pro Trolltyp meistens mehr als einen Termin, falls du an einem nicht kanst.

Shortly before the GPN, dates will be published in Meetings where the introduction will take place. If you take part, you will be approved for this troll type and can then sign up for shifts with this troll type.
For some troll types you will also need additional prior knowledge, which will be stated in the description.
There is usually more than one meeting per troll type if you are unable to attend one.
